Overview

In 1973, NUS Consulting opened its Johannesburg office. Today, the office employs over 40 professionals who provide energy cost management services to clients located throughout South Africa.

NUS Consulting has assisted thousands of businesses to better understand and leverage the country’s varied and increasingly complex energy and telecommunications markets to their advantage. The South African office’s market intelligence coupled with an emphasis on providing outstanding client service has produced billions of Rands in savings for numerous businesses located throughout the country.

Unlike many countries throughout the world, South Africa has only just begun deregulating its energy and telecommunications markets. As such, traditional national suppliers, Eskom and Telkom, continue to operate in a mostly opaque marketplace controlling much of the country’s electricity and telecom pricing. NUS Consulting’s in-depth understanding of these markets and long standing supplier relationships provide our clients a distinct cost advantage.

The Johannesburg office offers a full range of energy consulting services – procurement, audit, analysis, on-line data management, invoice validation and processing, research and consulting. Our local consulting staff is expert in analyzing Eskom’s (and the local municipality’s) tariff offerings as well as proposed deregulation legislation. The Johannesburg office provides a number of specialized services to its South African clients including telecommunications and property rates and taxes cost analysis services.
