Overview
In 1965, NUS Consulting opened its London office. Today, our London office (which is located in Redhill Surrey) employs over 60 professionals providing energy consulting services to clients located throughout United Kingdom and Ireland.
The UK energy markets have been subject to extreme volatility and securing an appropriate contract price and term can be a daunting task. Through strategic analysis of markets NUS Consulting is able to offer its clients an independent view of energy pricing trends and strategic advice on procurement timing and contract length. This strategic analysis is backed up by Monthly Pricing Trend Reports and quarterly strategy reviews.
NUS Consulting offers a full range of energy procurement options for clients from managing fully flexible energy contracts, negotiating fixed price contracts and operating baskets where smaller clients can obtain a volume advantage. Through its specialized tendering procedures NUS Consulting is able to present client energy load profiles in a way that maximise supplier interest and obtains highly competitive rates.
For clients with flexible purchasing contracts, NUS Consulting assists them in establishing an appropriate risk management strategy, setting review trigger points and managing the supply contract within these established limits. When there is a major shift in the market, NUS Consulting reviews the strategy and trigger points to ensure the client obtains the maximum benefit and protection from the contract.
As NUS Consulting is totally independent we are able to go out to the widest range of suppliers to source competitive prices. Having a consultant who is actively monitoring these markets and knows when to act can make a significant difference to an organization's overall energy costs.
The London office offers clients a full range of energy consulting services – procurement, invoice validation and processing (bureau service), audit, analysis, on-line data management, research and consulting. Moreover, we provide clients a range of support services including AMR (smart) metering, energy efficiency studies and carbon management (carbon footprint reporting, GHG analysis, Climate Change Agreements and the Carbon Reduction Commitment). The UK office places a great deal of emphasis on providing clients high levels of support and information and was very pleased to be ranked first amongst all UK energy consultants in client satisfaction in a recent survey undertaken by the independent market research firm, Datamonitor.
