General Manager

Wally Khalil is the General Manager of NUS Consulting in Canada. Wally received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama. In 1988, he joined NUS Consulting as an Account Manager in the Toronto office. In 1996, Wally left the firm to manage the sales and distribution department of Fluke Electronics. In 1998, he returned to NUS Consulting in his current role.

Overview

In 1964, NUS Consulting opened its Toronto office. Today, the office employs over 35 professionals focused on providing energy cost management services to clients located throughout Canada.

In terms of surface area, Canada is the second largest country in the world – Russia being the first. It is made up of 10 provinces and 3 territories – each of which has promulgated its own rules and regulations concerning the operation of the local energy market. At present, the electricity markets in both Ontario and Alberta are largely deregulated, while the markets in other provinces and territories continue to operate in a more traditional (regulated) fashion. As a result of the diversity in the Canadian energy markets, developing and implementing the most cost effective energy procurement strategy can be a daunting task even for the most experienced purchasing manager.

The Toronto office offers a full range of energy consulting services – procurement, invoice validation and processing, audit, analysis, on-line data management, research and consulting. Our Canadian staff is expert in the local rules and regulations of each province and territory as well as highly skilled at negotiating bilateral energy supply agreements. The Toronto office provides a number of specialized services to its Canadian clients including telecommunications, courier and freight cost analysis services. Our Canadian consulting staff is capable of providing clients both services and written reports in English and French.
