Ukraine-Russia conflict : Impact on energy markets

Following Russia's attack on Ukraine early this morning, prices on European energy markets have soared.

At 4pm, Brent crude oil was at 103.05 $/b, up from 97.56 $/b last night.

Concerning power market, the French Baseload Calendar 2023 product closed yesterday 184.50 €/MWh, and  is now at 209.50 €/MWh.

On the natural gas side, the TTF Calendar 2023 product has risen from 62.30 €/MWh yesterday evening to 80.00 €/MWh at 4pm today.

Given the current geopolitical tension, these prices are likely to remain high over the coming weeks.
