France Power Pricing Trends | 13 September 2021
100 €/MWh for the 2022 CAL. That milestone too has passed, becoming last Thursday the latest record to fall. Electricity futures are still being drained by increases in natural gas, CO2 and coal commodities. Facing proven speculation on the CO2 market, a complaint was filed with ESMA (the EU's financial supervisory body) for alleged market abuse by major financial players. The average weekly price moved from 91.11 €/MWh to 97.43 €/MWh for CAL 2022 and 72.15 €/MWh to 75.19 €/MWh for CAL 2023.
France Natural Gas Pricing Trends | 13 September 2021
Last week, the natural gas futures market continued to rise. This is due to the gas storage levels in Europe still being too low for the season as well as reduced supply flows from Russia, Norway and Algeria. Average weekly prices surged from 34.13 €/MWh to 36.98 €/MWh for CAL 2022 and from 23.32 €/MWh to 23.68 €/MWh for CAL 2023.
France Oil Pricing Trends | 13 September 2021
The price of Brent fell last week following the prospect of lower Asian demand and cautious OPEC guidance. The average weekly price of Brent shrank from 61.10 €/bbl to 60.86 €/bbl.
