France Power Pricing Trends | 14 February 2022
The electricity futures market rose sharply last week. On Monday evening, EDF announced the shutdown of three more nuclear power plants for maintenance, and market prices jumped on Tuesday. After a drop in the middle of the week, prices rose again at the close on Friday following the intensification of Russian-Ukrainian tensions. Average weekly prices rose from 148.25 €/MWh to 155.38 €/MWh for CAL 2023 & from 106.99 €/MWh to 111.65 €/MWh for CAL 2024.
France Natural Gas Pricing Trends | 14 February 2022
The natural gas futures market rose slightly last week. Market participants are optimistic at the beginning of the week. Mild weather and the continued arrival of LNG are helping to meet natural gas demand. However, the market closed higher on Friday, with concerns about the turn of events in Ukraine. Watch out for higher prices on the markets in the coming days. Average weekly prices grew from 52.62 €/MWh to 52.73 €/MWh for CAL 2023 and from 34.49 €/MWh to 36.25 €/MWh for CAL 2024.
France Oil Pricing Trends | 14 February 2022
Oil prices rose last week. After prices eased following the resumption of talks with Iran, the market closed higher on Friday on fears of a conflict in Ukraine. The average weekly price of Brent grew from 79.93 €/bbl to 80.90 €/bbl.
