France Power Pricing Trends | 15 May 2023
The power market rose last week. Despite an improvement in the hydro situation in France after the recent rainfall, the CAL 2024 Baseload price remains above €200/MWh, which is around €60/MWh higher than electricity prices in Germany. This is due to the continued risk premium for French nuclear power. The weekly average price increased from 197.25 €/MWh to 204.84 €/MWh for CAL 2024 and from 128.45 €/MWh to 133.43 €/MWh for CAL

France Natural Gas Pricing Trends | 15 May 2023
The natural gas market held steady last week. French gas stocks are at around 44%, up 4 points in a week. At the European level, stocks are at 63% of capacity. Several scheduled maintenance in the United States and Norway have reduced European natural gas exports. The weekly average price increased from 55.10 €/MWh to 55.51 €/MWh for CAL 2024 and from 47.77 €/MWh to 48.45 €/MWh for CAL 2025.
France Oil Pricing Trends | 15 May 2023
After a rise at the beginning of the week, the price of Brent crude fell again from last Wednesday, dropping back below €70/bbl, following the publication of several indices showing lower than expected US demand. The weekly average price of Brent crude oil fell from 68.16 €/bbl to 69.36 €/bbl.
