France Power Pricing Trends | 16 August 2023
The power market declined last week as several nuclear reactors were reconnected to the national grid, including Cruas 4. The weekly average price decreased from 159.83 €/MWh to 157.52 €/MWh for CAL 2024 and from 140.42 €/MWh to 139.85 €/MWh for CAL 2025.
France Natural Gas Pricing Trends | 16 August 2023
The natural gas market rose last week. Although European stocks are 89% full, some economic players, such as the Swedish bank SEB, are worried that these quantities will be insufficient from next December onwards, considering a stable demand but a reduced gas supply due to Norwegian maintenance and fears of strikes at LNG facilities in Australia. The weekly average price increased from 49.71 €/MWh to 51.17 €/MWh for CAL 2024 and from 45.52 €/MWh to 46.16 €/MWh for CAL 2025.
France Oil Pricing Trends | 16 August 2023
Brent crude prices have risen for the 7th week in a row, following new forecasts for global crude demand growth from the IEA. The weekly average price of Brent crude oil increased from 77.54 €/bbl to 78.69 €/bbl.
