France Power Pricing Trends | 19 February 2021
Warmer temperatures and a drop in the price of carbon (-1.41% on average), led to a decrease in CAL 22 and 23 products, respectively 0.66 €/MWh and 0.82 €/MWh compared with last week.
Lower prices for coal (around -3%) as well as natural gas (see below) have also played a role in improving electricity prices.
France Natural Gas Pricing Trends | 19 February 2021
Cal 22 and Cal 23 fell on average by 0.47 €/MWh and 0.23 €/MWh respectively compared with the previous week. These reductions are the result of lower demand due to warmer temperatures
France Oil Pricing Trends | 19 February 2021
The cold spell that hit North America had an impact on Brent market prices, which rose by €1.85/bbl compared with the previous week. The cold pulled prices up by crippling part of the production in the United States, also triggering a decrease in inventory levels.
The average weekly price was €52.50/bbl.
