France Power Pricing Trends | 2 October 2023

The power market fell last week. French nuclear production has increased by 1 GW in the space of a few days. All the power produced by the Flamanville 1 power station should be injected back into the grid at the start of this week. The weekly average price fell from 133.15 €/MWh to 131.44 €/MWh for CAL 2024 and from 122.29 €/MWh to 121.93 €/MWh for CAL 2025.

France Natural Gas Pricing Trends | 2 October 2023

The natural gas market fell last week. European demand for natural gas is being kept low by high levels of nuclear and wind generation, as well as exceptionally high temperatures at present. European stocks are over 95% full. The weekly average price decreased from 50.40 €/MWh to 48.88 €/MWh for CAL 2024 and from 46.58 €/MWh to 45.67 €/MWh for CAL 2025.

France Oil Pricing Trends | 2 October 2023

After a market peak on Wednesday linked to speculative action by market players, Brent closed at approximately the same price as at the start of the week. The weekly average price of Brent crude oil increased from 87.59 €/bbl to 87.67 €/bbl.
