France Natural Gas Pricing Trends | 20 December 2022

The natural gas market declined last week. After the cold snap, mild temperatures should settle in Europe in the coming weeks, which reassures market players. Storage levels have fallen (84.5%of European capacity) but remain high enough for Europe to meet its targets this winter. The weekly average price decreased from 132.70 €/MWh to 124.46 €/MWh for CAL 2023 and from 101.02 €/MWh to 98.23 €/MWh for CAL 2024.

France Oil Pricing Trends | 20 December 2022

The price of Brent crude oil rose at the beginning of last week. A leak on the Keystone pipeline in the US forced its shutdown. Production was disrupted in this sector. Then fears of a deteriorating global economy took over, pulling Brent prices down again at the end of the week. The weekly average price of Brent crude oil increased from 74.54 €/bbl to 75.78 €/bbl.
