France Power Pricing Trends | 20 July 2021
Electricity prices in the futures market eased off last week, following the movement initiated by natural gas and carbon prices. Then on July 14th, the EU published its proposals to reduce CO2 emissions by 2030, thereby curbing the volatility of carbon prices in the European market. The average weekly price moved from 74.14 €/MWh to 72.98 €/MWh for CAL 2022 and 62.56 €/MWh to 61.74 €/MWh for CAL 2023.
France Natural Gas Pricing Trends | 20 July 2021
Natural gas prices fell last week. The announcement that the Nord Stream 2 project will be completed this summer has caused a relaxation of price tension in the futures market. Average weekly prices dropped from 25.78 €/MWh to 25.62 €/MWh for CAL 2022 and from 19.54 €/MWh to 19.50 €/MWh for CAL 2023.
France Oil Pricing Trends | 20 July 2021
This same decline was also noticeable when it comes to oil: the closing of the last OPEC+ meeting hints at a continuing disagreement between stakeholders. In the end, this disunity may well lead to a greater than expected supply of oil. The average weekly price of Brent decreased from 63.35 €/bbl to 62.99 €/bbl.
