France Power Pricing Trends | 21 February 2023
The power market fell slightly last week on CAL 2024. Although the price of natural gas is down, the price of CO2 has increased significantly following the adoption of the Green Deal Industrial Plan by the European Parliament last week. The weekly average price decreased from 182.15 €/MWh to 181.67 €/MWh for CAL 2024 and from 136.74 /MWh to 121.78 €/MWh for CAL 2025.

The natural gas market declined last week. The demand for natural gas has decreased due to the mild temperatures in Europe over the last few days, impacting the futures market. The weekly average price felt from 61.55 €/MWh to 58.50 €/MWh for CAL 2024 and from 50.91 €/MWh to 49.05 €/MWh for CAL 2025.
France Oil Pricing Trends | 21 February 2023
The price of Brent crude oil held relatively steady last week. US demand is down, with financial markets worried about possible further interest rate hikes by the FED to combat inflation. On the other hand, Chinese demand for oil is rising, particularly in the transport sector. The weekly average price of Brent crude oil grew from 78.41 €/bbl to 79.27 €/bbl.
