France Power Pricing Trends | 22 November 2021
In response to the astounding headlines relating to gas and the weather forecast announcing the upcoming arrival of a cold snap within days, the futures market rose sharply last week. The price of CO2 reached a new record, surpassing the 69 €/t mark last Thursday.
Average weekly prices moved from 122.13 €/MWh to 141.80 €/MWh for CAL 2022 & from 83.06 €/MWh to 88.88 €/MWh for CAL 2023.

The natural gas futures market soared last week following an accumulation of unfortunate factors for European supply: geopolitical tensions between the EU, Belarus and Russia, the suspension of Nord Stream 2 certification by the German regulator & a sharp drop in Norwegian exports. The latter improved at the end of the week, with the market relaxing on Friday. Average weekly prices surged from 48.26 €/MWh to 54.07 €/MWh for CAL 2022 and from 31.24 €/MWh to 32.84 €/MWh for CAL 2023.
France Oil Pricing Trends | 22 November 2021
Oil prices fell last week in response to economic slowdowns in Europe. Markets are worried about the return of lockdown measures in some EU countries. The average weekly price of Brent rebounded from 72.20 €/bbl to 71.19 €/bbl.
