France Power Pricing Trends | 24 July 2023
The power market rose last week, following the trend in the natural gas and carbon markets. Indeed, expectations linked to the reduction in allowances issued in August were beginning to impact the CO2 market. The weekly average price increased from 167.17 €/MWh to 168.66 €/MWh for CAL 2024 and from 141.84 €/MWh to 141.96 €/MWh for CAL 2025.
France Natural Gas Pricing Trends | 24 July 2023
The natural gas market rose last week, reflecting an increase in global demand. In the face of hot, dry weather, several regions of the world, such as China and southern Europe, significantly increased their gas imports.
French gas stocks are at around 72% full. At European level, stocks are 83.36% full. The weekly average price increased from 49.08 €/MWh to 51.17 €/MWh for CAL 2024 and decreased from 45.12 €/MWh to 42.72 €/MWh for CAL 2025.
France Oil Pricing Trends | 24 July 2023
The price of Brent crude rose slightly last week, as a direct consequence of production cuts in Russia and Saudi Arabia. The weekly average price of Brent crude oil increased from 70.16 €/bbl to 71.92 €/bbl.
