France Power Pricing Trends | 3 January 2023
The power market declined last week. Influenced by natural gas prices, electricity futures prices are representative of declining national demand at the end of the year. In France, a dozen nuclear reactors were even shut down last weekend in the face of projected low electricity demand throughout the country. The weekly average price decreased from 269.26 €/MWh to 252.24 €/MWh for CAL 2024 and from 177.84 €/MWh to 177.67 €/MWh for CAL 2025.
France Natural Gas Pricing Trends | 3 January 2023
The natural gas market declined last week. Mild temperatures persist in Europe and demand for natural gas is generally lower. The weekly average price decreased from 80.48 €/MWh to 74.14 €/MWh for CAL 2024 and from 60.61 €/MWh to 59.70 €/MWh for CAL 2025.
France Oil Pricing Trends | 3 January 2023
The price of Brent crude oil rose last week. Consumption of oil products increased by around 2 million b/d in one week, while production remained relatively stable. The weekly average price of Brent crude oil increased from 76.53 €/bbl to 79.47 €/bbl.
