France Power Pricing Trends | 4 April 2022
The electricity futures market rose last week. The announcement of the cold wave that arrived at the end of the week has caused tension on the markets, in a context where the means of electricity production are struggling to match demand. Average weekly prices grew from 194.87 €/MWh to 201.90 €/MWh for CAL 2023 & from 125.53 €/MWh to 126.82 €/MWh for CAL 2024.
France Natural Gas Pricing Trends | 4 April 2022
The natural gas futures market remained relatively calm last week, as far as Calendar products are concerned. On the other hand, the requests for payments of Russian natural gas in rubles shot the market through in the short term (Monthly+1+3 and Quarterly+1+2 products are up). Average weekly prices rose from 67.15 €/MWh to 68.05 €/MWh for CAL 2023 & shrank from 47.02 €/MWh to 46.34 €/MWh for CAL 2024.
France Oil Pricing Trends | 41 April 2022
Oil prices fell last week. In order to relax the market, the United States has announced that it wants to draw on its strategic reserves and export them. Despite existing extraction quotas appearing unrealistic, OPEC plans to increase oil production quickly. The average weekly price of Brent dropped from 107.16 €/bbl to 98.49 €/bbl.
