France Power Pricing Trends | 4 September 2023

The power market fell last week due to a marked improvement in French nuclear output in recent months. In a sign of renewed confidence, a few days ago the ASN authorised reactor number 1 at the Tricastin power station to operate for up to fifty years. The weekly average price fell from 159.51 €/MWh to 150.72 €/MWh for CAL 2024 and 2025.

France Natural Gas Pricing Trends | 4 September 2023

The natural gas market fell slightly at the end of last week. Although the strikes at Chevron's LNG plants in Australia continue, the market is easing in view of the near-full level of natural gas stocks in Europe. The weekly average price decreased from 54.48 €/MWh to 53.54 €/MWh for CAL 2024 and increased from 47.15 €/MWh to 47.66 €/MWh for CAL 2025.

France Oil Pricing Trends | 4 September 2023

The price of Brent crude rose at the end of last week. Market players are expecting Saudi Arabia to extend its production cuts into September, as well as a reduction in Russian exports. The weekly average price of Brent crude oil increased from 77.07 €/bbl to 79.23 €/bbl.
