France Power Pricing Trends | 7 November 2022
The power market declined last week. Mild temperatures and a very low demand for electricity during All Saints' Day eased market prices. Prices rose again following EDF's announcement that it was lowering its nuclear production forecast for the end of 2022. The weekly average price went from 512.13 €/MWh to 479.78 €/MWh for the CAL 2023 and from 265.98 €/MWh to 279.33 €/MWh for the CAL 2024.
France Natural Gas Pricing Trends | 7 November 2022
The natural gas market declined last week. Despite a mid-week price increase in anticipation of falling temperatures, the market fell again on Friday. Indeed, gas stocks are still high (95% at the European level) and a large flow of LNG to Europe reassures market players. The weekly average price decreased from 128.05 €/MWh to 114.76 €/MWh for CAL 2023 and from 100.44 €/MWh to 94.18 €/MWh for CAL 2024.
France Oil Pricing Trends | 7 November 2022
The price of Brent crude oil rose last week. Despite the prospects of a further slowdown in the Chinese economy, oil prices remained bullish in view of OPEC+'s optimistic forecasts. The cartel expects demand to grow in the coming years. The weekly average price of Brent crude oil rose from €93.63/bbl to €96.37/bbl.
