France Power Pricing Trends | 8 November 2021
The power futures market followed the same trend as natural gas and coal last week. China announced making efforts to stabilize fuel shortages, driving down the price of coal in recent days. Average weekly prices moved from 127.95 €/MWh to 119.58 €/MWh for CAL 2022 & from 83.30 €/MWh to 82.02 €/MWh for CAL 2023.

Despite a mid-week price increase as market participants became impatient with the long-awaited gas delivery from Russia, the weekly average price of natural gas is gradually decreasing compared to previous weeks. Average weekly prices surged from 52.66 €/MWh to 47.86 €/MWh for CAL 2022 and from 32.69 €/MWh to 31.40 €/MWh for CAL 2023.
France Oil Pricing Trends | 8 November 2021
The price of Brent crude oil decreased last week. The market is easing after OPEC announced maintaining its policy of increasing oil production at the end of the year. The average weekly price of Brent rebounded from 73.07 €/bbl to 71.43 €/bbl.
