Natural gas prices were marked by high volatility last week. The market reacted strongly to the oncoming 6th wave of European sanctions against Russia, this time targeting Russia’s fuel exports. The standoff remains threatening and Gazprom could suspend the supply of natural gas to other countries refusing to pay for their energy in rubles. The weekly average price fell slightly from 76.02 €/MWh to 75.83 €/MWh for CAL 2023 and rose from 60.35 €/MWh to 61.44 €/MWh for CAL 2024.
France Oil Pricing Trends | 9 May 2022
Oil prices continued to rise last week following the proposed embargo on Russian fuel. The rise in the price of crude could be limited by diminished demand from China if the strict lockdowns persist. The weekly average price of Brent crude oil grew from 99.16 €/bbl to 103.50 €/bbl.
