German Energy Pricing Trends - 15 Aug. 2021
15 Aug 2021
German Electricity Pricing | 15 August 2021
Electricity prices continued to rise significantly in KW 32 and clearly exceeded the € 80 mark in the base. This was again due to higher gas and coal prices.
German Natural Gas Pricing | 15 August 2021
Gas prices on the futures market once again set record highs. The gas flows from Russia and hardly any LNG deliveries to Europe are still restricted - demand in Asia for LNG remained high. Ongoing maintenance work on the Norwegian gas network resulted in rising gas prices. This led to a shortage of gas supplies.
German CO2 Pricing | 15 August 2021
CO2 prices have increased by over 2.50% compared to the previous week. The lower supply at EUA auctions in August and September and the high gas prices continued to support prices.
German Oil Pricing | 15 August 2021
Oil prices were hardly changed in the reporting week compared to the previous week. A sluggish recovery in demand is still the major concern.
German Coal Pricing | 15 August 2021
Coal prices made another leap up - the reason is still very high demand from Asia.
