Electricity prices have made a significant leap up again. The price for Cal rose by a whopping 36,65% to 208,00 €/MWh. The reason was significant increases in gas and coal.

Gas prices rose massively. The reason was a statement from politics that no gas will flow through NordStream2 as long as Russia continues to exert pressure on Ukraine.

CO2 prices rose only moderately although the price of over 80,00 €/MWh remains at a high level.

Oil prices were not particularly spectacular in the reporting week. The barrel of the North Sea variety Brent stood at 74,21 $/bbl on December 13, 2021.

Coal prices rose sharply last week. The price drivers were high gas prices and high profit margins from coal supply.
