German Electricity Pricing | 19 January 2022
Electricity prices fell here in particular in the front year 2023 by around -7,40%. This happened as a result of falling CO2 prices.

Gas prices were also down around -8,00% for the Cal23. Attributed to increasing LNG supplies and milder temperatures.

CO2 prices were volatile at the end of the reporting week with a slight plus for the December 2023 contract at €80,58/t (+0,61%) on January 17, 2022.
German Oil Pricing | 19 January 2022
Oil prices rose more sharply. The reason was a surprisingly strong demand. Brent stood at 86,53 USD/bbl on 01/17/2022, +6,80%.
German Coal Pricing | 19 January 2022
Coal prices also rose. Coal prices in Europe followed higher prices in China, Australia and Indonesia.
