Recent news about the approval of European funds to fight against the consequences of COVID crisis, combined with the progress on the vaccination plans published and the stabilization of the number of new coronavirus cases diagnosed, seem to be pushing futures prices up in the energy Iberian markets.
Power and gas futures prices for 2021 show maximum quotations since January. However, despite EUAs prices reach 31€/tone and gas spot market week average 2.2% higher than the previous period, power spot prices averaged 17% lower than the previous week mainly due to high percentage on wind-power generation in Spain since the beginning of December.
