NUS Consulting Iberia
NUS Consulting Group's Iberian operations were established in 1995. Since then, we have grown and developed our expertise in this market, and currently manage over €540 million of annual energy expenditure.
The Iberian energy market is a highly complex and competitive one. Due to historical and geographical reasons, the Iberian market has limited interconnections with its neighbors in central and northern Europe, and has traditionally imported most of its gas requirements from other areas in the world. As a consequence, a combination of both local and international factors impact overall pricing trends in the Iberian market. In addition, the Iberian market has a complex access tariff system that is modified regularly. To successfully navigate and leverage market opportunities requires local expertise.
We currently provide expert energy management and sustainability support services to over 250 commercial and industrial businesses, both local and international, located throughout Spain and Portugal. In addition to our Group's services invoice processing and validation, energy information systems, rate analysis and optimization, procurement, risk management, budgeting, CO 2 e tracking and reporting, we also provide localized services including supplies management support, pre-calculation of energy invoices, energy audits, energy efficiency support, green energy purchasing, long-term power purchase agreements with guaranty of renewal energy origin via PPAs, VPPAs, etc.
While we are an independent consulting firm, we have long-standing and constructive relationships with all the principal energy suppliers, closely monitor legislative and regulatory developments that may impact our clients, analyze available energy purchasing contracts, define energy risk management plans, and work closely with our clients to improve their operational, financial, and environmental performance.
