France Power Pricing Trends | 17 April 2023
The power market stabilised last week. Despite softer demand for electricity, prices on Baseload CAL24 remained above 215.00 €/MWh. EDF announced a delay of several days in the maintenance of seven nuclear power plants. The weekly average price increased from 223.46 €/MWh to 223.75 €/MWh for CAL 2024 and decreased from 143.51 €/MWh to 140.74 €/MWh for CAL 2025.
France Natural Gas Pricing Trends | 17 April 2023
The natural gas market shows almost no change from last week. The CAL24 TTF price hovered around 56.00 €/MWh despite the accumulation of positive signals: European storage fullness above 55%, US LNG exports growing, mild seasonal temperatures. Analysts are following Asian LNG demand trends which, should they rise sharply, could eat into European gas imports. The weekly average price decreased from 57.47 €/MWh to 56.52 €/MWh for CAL 2024 and from 48.18 €/MWh to 48.04 €/MWh for CAL 2025.
France Oil Pricing Trends | 17 April 2023
The price of Brent continued to rise last week. As a reminder, OPEC+ members made the announcement in early April that production would be reduced from May onwards, in order to counter the fall in the price of oil observed last March. The weekly average price of Brent crude oil grew from 77.81 €/bbl to 78.32 €/bbl.
