Carbon Footprint Dashboard

What is a Carbon Footprint Dashboard?

A Carbon Footprint Dashboard is a centralised reporting tool used by companies to visualise and track quantified carbon emissions across all applicable business operations. NUS have developed a bespoke Carbon Footprint Dashboard tool to provide companies with an overview and granular breakdown of consumption and emissions for Scope 1, 2 and 3 categories in an accessible and understandable format. A Carbon Footprint Dashboard is an effective solution for displaying emissions data for all key stakeholders to drive informed decarbonisation decision-making.

Why use a Carbon Footprint Dashboard?

The calculation of carbon emissions can be a complex process involving large data sets and the collection of information across multiple business units / divisions. The Carbon Footprint Dashboard simplifies this process by streamlining data and emissions results into easy-to-understand visuals, with breakdowns and graphics designed to each companyโ€™s requirements.

For companies to proactively address emissions across their operations, stakeholders must understand the companyโ€™s carbon emissions across Scope 1, 2 and 3 categories. Accurate insight into carbon emissions can directly support companies in identifying carbon hotspots across the organisation. Updating and analysing carbon data through a dashboard provides the ability to assess the carbon reduction and impacts of implemented decarbonisation projects and policies.

What data is included in a Carbon Footprint Dashboard?

As part of the Carbon Footprint Dashboard service, NUS supports data collection and quantification of all applicable Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. This includes upstream and downstream categories such as Business Travel, Purchased Goods and Services, Waste, Employee Commuting, Use of Sold Products, Investments etc. (See the Carbon Footprint service for more details).

NUS quantify emissions from all categories to align with the GHG Protocol and leading international reporting standards. These results are directly displayed into the streamlined dashboard.

The dashboard can incorporate available carbon data while enabling the incorporation of data / information collected in future years to ensure continuous improvements in reporting accuracy.

What are the key features of the Carbon Footprint Dashboard?

The dashboard supports Scope 1, 2 and 3 tracking and decarbonization projects by:

  • Visualising consumption data and carbon emissions broken down by scope category.
  • Tracking and monitoring of consumption and carbon emissions by site/country.
  • Updating emissions data on a monthly / quarterly / annual basis.
  • Utilising company-specific metrics to ensure measurable decarbonization impacts.
  • Ability to assess progression against decarbonization targets and milestones.

How can data be tailored to my companyโ€™s objectives?

NUS can work with your company to design and create a bespoke Carbon Footprint Dashboard to enable efficient oversight and understanding of your carbon emissions data. The dashboard can be tailored to particular corporate requirements to focus on areas of importance, including carbon emissions at the site level, Scope 3 categories, and tracking decarbonization progress against corporate targets.
