In 1972, NUS Consulting Groupโs established its French operations in Paris. For over 50 years, we have provided commercial and industrial businesses independent advice on navigating the local energy markets. Today, our French team consists of over 30 experienced energy professionals, including several senior consultants with more than 25 years of experience.
The French energy market plays a central role in the European market. The French marketโs evolution has been and continues to be, a complex one due to the relationship between the national suppliers and the government. The market has had and continues to have unique features not seen in other markets, including the past Transitional Regulated Tariff for Market Adjustment (TaRTAM) and the current Regulated Access to Incumbent Nuclear energy (ARENH).
Today, NUS provides energy management and sustainability solutions to more than 500 industrial, commercial and public organizations, including invoice processing, energy information systems, procurement risk management, rate and tariff optimization, energy-related tax analysis, budgeting and reporting, and renewable energy support. Our detailed knowledge of the French marketโs regulations and energy purchasing processes allows our clients to minimize their energy price risk exposure while optimizing their financial, operational, and environmental performance. We provide these services as an integral part of the overall Group, allowing for integration into our clientsโ comprehensive European energy purchasing and risk management strategies.
Each year our French Operation carries out several hundreds of electricity and natural gas tenders specifically tailored to each clientโs individual requirements. Moreover, we capture and validate thousands of French energy invoices and integrate them into the Groupโs EiS platform. Finally, we assist and support our clients in carrying out energy audits required under Article 8 of the European Energy Efficiency Directive (EED Article 8) as well as those impacted by the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS).
